SATKOF and TABA-AmCham Showcase Turkey’s Global Power in New York During U.S. Engagements 2025Journalist : Murat Genç / USANew York, September 20, 2025 – Professor Dr. Aysun Bay, President of the Health Tourism Confederation (SATKOF), and Süleyman Ecevit Şanlı, President of the Turkish American Business Association-American Chamber of Commerce (TABA-AmCham), convened in New York as part of the U.S. Engagements 2025 Program, delivering a strong message about Turkey’s vision in health diplomacy and international trade.The program, held at the Turkish House (Türkevi), brought together delegations from SATKOF and TABA-AmCham with Turkey’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Ahmet Yıldız, and Turkish Consul General in New York, Ahmet Muhittin Yazal. These meetings were regarded as a sign of a new era of cooperation in Turkish-American relations.Within the scope of the program, preparations have been finalized for high-level diplomatic gatherings to be attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The meetings will also include Turkey’s ministers of health, energy, trade, and industry, representatives of TURKSOY, as well as numerous ambassadors.In addition, SATKOF officially launched the process of establishing a representative office in the United States. This strategic move is expected to strengthen Turkey’s global role in health tourism and further expand its influence in international markets.Speaking on the occasion, SATKOF President Prof. Dr. Aysun Bay stated:> “Our engagements in New York strongly emphasized health diplomacy.
